TREATS FROM TREETOP LANE
"We are adding a new section to Current Events page called Treats from Treetop Lane which will provide a recipe from Penny, Michael's wife, who is an award winning and bake-off winning cook. This will be changed from time to time and we are open to special requests (except for the Christmas Butter Tarts which have to remain a family secret, sorry)."
BLACK FOREST CLUSTERS
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup. sweetened flake coconut
1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
(additional cherries as desired for garnish)
In double boiler, melt together the chips. Stir constantly until melted and combined. Stir in coconut and chopped cherries. Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper covered cookie sheets. If desired, press half a cherry on top of each cluster. Chill.
